Make your first message count

  • What happened. A short, factual account in date order. Bullet points are fine.
  • Where it happened. The city or province in Iran, and any other countries involved.
  • Who is involved. Individuals or companies on each side, and your role in the matter.
  • Key documents. Contracts, deeds, invoices, notices or court papers. List them, or attach copies.
  • Deadlines. Any hearing dates, notice periods or time limits you are aware of.
  • What you want. The outcome you are hoping for, even if you are not sure it is possible.

Urgent matters

If a deadline, hearing or notice is involved, write “Urgent” and the relevant date in the subject line and repeat it in your first sentence. Urgent messages are reviewed first.
